   The nature of our services

   Summit Trading Group is a business-to-business trading and commercial development company. We identify commercial opportunities, connect companies and coordinate the parties involved in a transaction between the United States and Mexico. Our role is commercial: finding the opportunity, connecting the right companies, facilitating the relationship and coordinating the process. Logistics forms part of certain operations, but it is not what this company is.

   What Summit Trading Group does not claim

   Unless supporting documentation exists for a specific project and has been provided, Summit Trading Group does not represent itself as, and should not be understood to be:

   • A licensed customs broker or customs agent.
   • The holder of sectoral import registries.
   • Registered with the FDA for any particular service.
   • The holder of regulatory permits, licences or authorisations.
   • The operator of its own warehouses or storage facilities.
   • The operator of its own transport fleet.
   • A company claiming any particular number of years of experience.
   • An operator at any particular port or point of entry.
   • Able to import, export or distribute any product without restriction.

   Independent third-party providers

   Where an operation calls for transport, warehousing, customs clearance, insurance or any regulated professional service, that service is performed by the corresponding provider or professional, under their own licences and authorisations. Summit Trading Group coordinates the commercial communication between the parties; it does not perform, and does not hold itself out as performing, the regulated activity itself. Customs procedures, tariff classifications, declarations and regulated filings are carried out or validated by the authorised professionals involved.

   Services may be coordinated through qualified independent providers when required.

   Regulatory requirements

   Depending on the product, the markets involved and the nature of the operation, a transaction may be subject to requirements from authorities including:

   • U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP)
   • FDA
   • USDA
   • DOT
   • EPA
   • USMCA / T-MEC
   • NOM
   • COFEPRIS
   • SENASICA
   • Secretaría de Economía
   • SAT
   • Other competent authorities

   • Where licences, permits, certifications or regulated professional services are required, they must be obtained, performed or validated by duly authorised providers or professionals.
   • Not every product can be traded, imported or exported. Each one is evaluated against the rules that apply to it, in both the origin and the destination market.

   Product catalog and commercial information

   The products shown in our catalog are examples of the categories Summit Trading Group evaluates. Their presence on this site is not an offer, a commitment to supply, or a representation that a given product is available for a given market.

   Product availability, specifications, quantities, pricing and commercial conditions are subject to confirmation. Certain products may require permits, registrations, certifications or regulatory approvals before being imported, exported or distributed.

   Commercial opportunities

   Every project is evaluated individually according to its commercial viability, the requirements of the markets involved and the applicable regulations. Information published on this site is general in nature and does not constitute commercial, legal, regulatory, customs or tax advice. Nothing on this site is a binding offer: commercial terms exist only once the corresponding parties have agreed them in writing.
