What this site collects when you contact us, why we collect it, where it is kept and how to ask us to change or delete it.

  1. What this notice covers

This notice covers the information Summit Trading Group collects through this website. It does not cover information you send us by other means — a direct email, a call, a meeting — although we handle that information under the same principles set out here.

  2. What you send us

Everything in this section reaches us only because you typed it into one of the forms on this site. There is no account to create and nothing is collected in the background.

    • Contact details: name, company, job title, email, phone, country and company website, depending on which form you use.
    • Your commercial requirement: the product, quantities, specifications, target market, pricing expectations, certifications, timelines and anything you write in the free-text field.
    • For suppliers and manufacturers: production capacity, markets currently served, minimum order, export experience and distribution objectives.
  3. Documents

The forms accept up to five files of 10 MB each. They are held in a private store, and a file can only be opened by a member of our team through a link that is generated at the moment of opening and expires within a minute. We keep them with the inquiry they belong to, and delete them when we delete it.

Documents you attach are uploaded and stored privately. They are not published, and no link to them exists outside our internal tool.

  4. What your browser sends

Two technical things happen that you did not type. Neither is attached to your inquiry.

    • Your IP address is held briefly in memory to limit how many submissions can come from one connection in ten minutes. It is not written to the database and is not stored alongside your inquiry.
    • We use audience measurement to understand how the site is used — which pages are read, where visitors arrive from. Depending on what is enabled at a given time this may include Vercel Analytics, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, the LinkedIn Insight Tag or the Meta Pixel, each of which has its own privacy notice.
  5. Why we collect it

To evaluate the commercial opportunity you are presenting and to respond to it. In practice that means reading your requirement, deciding whether we can act on it, researching suppliers, buyers or channels, and coming back to you. We also use it to keep a record of the commercial relationship as it develops.

  6. Where it is kept and who sees it

Your inquiry is stored in our customer database, hosted by our infrastructure provider. Access is limited to the Summit Trading Group team through an internal tool behind a login — there is no public sign-up, and accounts are created by hand. The database enforces that restriction at its own level, not only in the application.

  7. Who else we share it with

Developing a commercial opportunity means introducing companies to each other, so parts of what you send us may be shared with the parties needed to move it forward — a potential supplier, buyer or distributor, and the specialised providers a transaction requires, such as freight, warehousing or authorised customs professionals.

    • We share what the specific opportunity requires, not your whole record.
    • We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for anyone else's advertising.
    • Our infrastructure and measurement providers process data on our behalf under their own terms.
  8. How long we keep it

For as long as the opportunity is open or the commercial relationship is active, and afterwards only for as long as we need it for the purposes described here or for as long as applicable law requires. You can ask us to delete it sooner.

  9. Your choices

Write to us and we will act on any of the following. We may need to confirm your identity first, and we will tell you if a legal obligation prevents us from acting.

    • Ask what we hold about you.
    • Ask us to correct anything inaccurate.
    • Ask us to delete it.
    • Object to a particular use, or ask us to stop contacting you.
  10. Changes to this notice

If what we collect or what we do with it changes, this page changes with it and the date at the top is updated. Material changes will be reflected here before the new practice begins.

Exercising your rights

Send us your request and we will answer directly. Tell us what you are asking for and which email address you used, so we can find your record.
